Caruso Joins Oklahoma City in Blockbuster Deal

Former Bull Makes Thunder Debut

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA - The Oklahoma City Thunder have bolstered their backcourt by acquiring guard Alex Caruso in a trade with the Chicago Bulls. The 29-year-old defensive specialist joins the Thunder as part of a deal that sent Josh Giddey to the Bulls.

Caruso, a key contributor for the Bulls, brings a wealth of experience and defensive intensity to Oklahoma City. The four-year veteran has averaged 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game throughout his career.

The Thunder, who have been struggling defensively this season, are expected to benefit from Caruso's presence. The 6'5" guard is known for his quick hands and ability to disrupt opposing offenses.

Giddey, the 20-year-old reigning Rookie of the Year, had emerged as a valuable playmaker for the Thunder. However, the team has opted to make a move in order to secure a more established defensive presence.

Caruso is set to make his Thunder debut on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans. The acquisition marks a significant move for Oklahoma City as they look to improve their playoff chances.
